Ingredients
4 - cups Suji (semolina)
3.5 - cups Sugar
1 - freshly grated Coconut
1.5 - katori Ghee
1.5 - katori water
pinch of elaichi powder
thinly sliced almonds, pista, cashews Raisins
METHOD
Take ghee in a pan and add suji to it.
Roast on a low flame till pink.
Add the grated coconut to it and roast for another 2-3 mins.
In a separate vessel, put the water and add sugar to it.
Boil till sugar melts and forms a sticky solution (chashni).
Once it's done, turn off the gas and immediately add the suji-coconut mix to it.
Now, add elaichi powder and sliced nuts and raisins to it.
Mix well and keep stirring at regular intervals till it reaches a semi-solid state.
It takes 2-3 hours to reach a state where you can make laddoos of the mix.
Once the proper state is reached, make the laddoos.
Alternately, you can also roll out the mix in a greased plate and cut into square pieces once its set.
