'' Cherai Beach is an important landmark in Kerala. Situated in Vypin islands at the distance of mere 25 kilometers from Kochi, this beach has become important tourist destination today. The beach fringes the Vypeen Island on the Kochi harbour mouth. One can stand here and watch closely the passing ships. The beach is also ideal for swimming.
