Crocodile Bank
Children will be awed and amused at the sight of the many crocodiles that can be see here, both in the water and on the sandy banks. With their mouths open and sharp pearlies on display, the crocodiles are sure to imbibe curiosity in your children, so be prepared for a barrage of questions! It was initially started as a conservation effort, but is presently a Centre for Herpetology. The place allows visitors to play volunteers and you can join the feeding sessions every Sunday. Weekends have fun programs and workshops too.

Muttukadu Lake
Located on the East Coast Road at a distance of 40 km from Chennai, the Muttukadu Lake is popular among both residents and tourists. The most popular activity at the lake is boating. There are a few options to choose from, including the paddle and motor boats. Depending on the time and energy, you can choose from either. The surrounding vistas are a delight and children will love to pitch in by paddling the boat and enjoying the waters. Guindy National Park
Children are always amused by the world of animals and nature around them, sights of such kind make the inquisitive little ones probe for answers about the world we live in. One such place is the Guindy National Park. Centtrally located in the city, it is easy to plan a trip here. There are many amusements at the park to keep your children well-occupied. The most fascinating sight will be that of the deer and ducks roaming about free without any care in the world. The park is only closed on Tuesdays. Entry fee is INR 15 for adults and INR 10 for kids. Children below five are allowed free of cost.

VGP Universal Kingdom
The VGP Golden Resort created quite the stir when it was first launched in the 1980s and became a fully fledged amusement park in 1997, since then the park has received a steady inflow of tourist crowd, and parents keen to let their little ones have some fun. The Aqua Kingdom at the park offers many fun rides in the water, the wave pool and other activities are sure to keep kids in high spirits. The place also has restaurants and gardens for parents and children to rest after the rides. It is open across the week and there are various packages to choose from, the basic package starts at INR 225 for adults and INR 175 for children.
