BEST TIME TO VISIT
Nilgiri Hills are never really out of season. You can choose from various hill stations according to season. While the best season to visit Ooty is June to February, April to June is the best season to visit Coonoor.

Mukurthi Peak - Mukurthi Peak, Pichalbetta and Nilgiri Peak are the important “high points” of the area. The 3 hills of the Wayanad district are illustrious and extremely serene.
Doddabetta Peak - It is located at a distance of 14 Kms from Nilgiris and is one of the highest peaks of South India. Tourists can also absorb the picturesque beauty of plains of Coimbatore and Mysore and beautiful valleys of the nearby area. The peak also offers amusing activities such as trekking.

Kotagiri - Kotagiri is a pristine little town, situated about 16 km from Ooty. Situated at an altitude of 1,950 mts, it was developed as a summer retreat for the British during the colonial days.
Doddabetta Peak - Located at an altitude of 2,623 m, it is the highest point in the Nilgiri Hills. The site, situated 10 km from Ooty, offers breathtaking views of the hills and the surrounding areas.

HOW TO REACH THERE
Air: Coimbatore, 105-km from Ooty, is the nearest airport. It has daily flights to and from Chennai, Bangalore, Cochin and Trivandrum.
Rail: Ooty is on the narrow gauge railway connected to Mettupalayam (47-km), which is directly connected to Coimbatore and Chennai. The famous toy train connects Ooty with Mettupalayam and Coonoor.
Road: Nilgiri is well connected to all the major towns and cities of South India.
