Sweet Rice is easy to cook and equally good in taste. Kids are very fond of eating Sweet Rice at home. You can cook this recipe at any special occasion or festivals. So here we present you the recipe to make Sweet Rice Pulao at home.

Recipe Type Veg.

Ingredients:

  • Basmati Rice - 200 gms.
  • Milk - 1/2 cup.
  • Sugar - 150 gms. (3/4 cup)
  • Ghee - 2-3 table spoon.
  • Kesar - 20-25 pieces.
  • Cardamom - 4-5 (peel and grind)
  • Coconut - 2 table spoon (grated or cut it into small pieces)
  • Cashews - 12-14
  • Almonds - 8-10 (cut into small pieces)
  • Raisins - 1 table spoon.

Preparation:

Recipe Sweet Pulao
  1. Clean and wash the rice twice with water. Soak them for 1 hour.
  2. Put kesar in the milk and keep it aside.
  3. Take out the rice from the water and put them in a microwave safe bowl. (You can make rice even in the cooker or any pan as per your preference and time you have in hands)
  4. Pour 2 cup water into the rice along with kesar milk, 1 table spoon ghee and sugar. Mix all the ingredients well.
  5. Place the bowl inside the microwave and set the time for 12-14 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, take a small pan and heat 1 table spoon ghee into it. Fry the chopped cashews, almonds and coconut in it.
  7. Your rice are ready. Mix all the fried dry nuts into the rice including cardamom and ghee and stir well with the help of a ladle so that all the nuts mixes well with the rice.
  8. Sweet RicePulav is ready. Serve it hot or cold as you like to your family members or pack the rice in your kid's tiffin box for the lunch at school.
