Belkal Theertha is one of the wonderful waterfalls of Karnataka state. The Belkal Theertha is located in the deep Western Ghats at a distance of 50 Km from Kundapura in the North-East side of Udupi district.
The Belkal Theertha Waterfall lies near Kollur and Madur and it is situated in the lush green forests of Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary. The waterfall is also called as Govinda Theertha. The water is falling 300 feet down from a mountain called Korshi Betta, which is an extension of Kodachadri. It is believed that the water of this waterfall is sacred and people come here to take a holy dip.

During four months of the year between February-May, the water of Belkal Theertha completely dries off. So make sure that you except these months from your tourist plans to the waterfalls.
How to Reach there
By Air: The nearest airport to this falls is Mangalore International Airport.
By Rail: The nearest railway station is Kundapura.
By Road: Take NH-17 to go towards the Kundapura-Kollur Road. After reaching Madur through Kundapura-Kollur Road, one needs to travel 3 km in order to reach Belkal village. From this village it takes about 2 hours to reach Belkal Theertha.
