Burude or Dodmane falls is one of its kind and has spellbinding magical beauty. The term Burude is a Kannad word which means ‘skull’, though origin of this name is surprisingly unknown.
Burude falls is 21 kms from Siddapur village, in uttara kannada (North kannada ) district of South Indian state, Karnataka.
Burude falls are five step falls. On its first step is a beautiful auditorium kind of setup, where more than 100 people can sit together, watch and admire the nature’s magnificent art at its best. One may feel the adrenalin rush throughout the body, as the way build for these falls is formed by a very steep concrete descent of steps that one has to take to reach the base of the waterfall. At no possibility these falls can be seen from above the base level, so one has to actually come down to watch the falls. For this families are advised to take care of their kids during the whole way.

By Road: This place is 21 kms from Siddapur and approximately 55 kms from Sirsi on Siddapur kumta road. People generally get down at Ilimane cross and take a walk to reach the falls and some reach by trekking from Unchalli falls which is nearby.
