The Kailasakona Waterfalls is situated in the Nagari Valley of Chitoor District. It is a perennial waterfall and comes off a sheet rock which is split. The height from which the water falls is about 30 metres and it cascades down into a small pond below the rock.
The name Kailasokona was given by Lord Kailasanatheswara Swami. As per the puranas Lord Kailasanatheswara Swami came here to attend the marriage of Lord Venkateshwara Swami and goddesses Padmavathi at Narayanavaram. Frequently this water was chosen as the sacrament to perform certain rituals. Later lord kailasanatheswara named this waterfall as Kailasakona waterfalls

By Air: The nearest airport is Chennai.
By Rail: There is a railway station in Puttur. Cuddappah is 170 kms. from Kailasakona.
By Road: There are buses by the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation that plies between Tirupathi and Kailasakona waterfalls.
