Kariyar waterfall is situated near Kariyar Dam in Tirunelveli district of Tamilnadu. Waterfall is located in the Western Ghats and one of the major sources of the Tamirabarani River. Kariyar dam is near to Kariyar fall (Banatheertham waterfall) from where one can get boat to travel up to the waterfall. Swimming is not allowed to anyone, as the water body has Crocodiles in it. Boat ride is one of the most memorable experience tourists can take as they can see the dense forest and mesmerizing waterfall round the sight.
