Waate halla falls, where ‘Watte” means bamboo and “halla” in Kannada means rivulet, is called so because of the abundant growth of a kind of bamboo found along the river bank of the Waate Halla River. This waterfall is surrounded by a thick and dense forest. One feels closer to the sublime as the water falls amidst diverse fauna.

This falls is created by the tributary of Aghanashini river. It is situated 30 kms from Sirsi town, Western Ghats. The waterfalls plunges from about 100ft.
