Of all the Porsches sold in India, the Boxster is the cheapest two-seater Porsche that you can buy and the all new Boxster is a completely new model aiming to better its predecessor. The Boxster will compete with the BMW Z4 and Nissan 370Z and Mercedes SLK in India. The new Boxster has considerably lower weight plus has a longer wheelbase, a wider track and larger wheels.
A wind deflector is included as standard equipment, and there are a few new options, including a new rearview camera that comes with packaged with front and rear parking sensors, a 20-inch 911 Turbo wheel design, and automatic high beams as part of the Bi-Xenon lighting package. There are also some minor interior trim tweaks, an available Black/Garnet Red two-tone leather interior, and two new exterior colors: Jet Black Metallic and Carrera White Metallic.

The latest Boxster drops the more flowing, feminine lines of its predecessor for an angular and muscular look. The Boxster and Boxster S are powered by iconic flat-six engines with direct petrol injection. There is loads of power as the new Porsche Boxster gives 265 bhp from a 2.7 litre displacement which is 10 bhp more than its predecessor. Technically, it is now based on the 3.4-litre engine of the Boxster S. The 3.4-litre now delivers 315 bhp, 5 bhp more than before. In India you get the seven-speed dual-clutch Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) which is available as an option.
Porsche has engineered a great deal of safety into the Boxster, starting with a rigid chassis; dual front, side, curtain, and thorax airbags; anti-lock brakes; and very capable stability and traction control. The fantastic handling can also be counted as an accident-avoidance feature.
