The inhabitants of this place were very poor and used to live in slums. One day their slums caught fire and people got afraid. They went to the king of Nahan & requested for the protection of their Slums.

History

The king tried to know its cause through his soldiers. But it went on happening month on month & soldiers couldn’t get its cause. King was worried about this issue. One day King had a dream in which Goddess said that I am ‘Sharda Mata’ in the shape of ‘Pindi’ and I’m present on the place which had been getting fire . Goddess asked the King to take the 'Pindi' out of that place & built a temple after establishing it on that place. King asked goddess that how would he got to know about Pindi, Goddess said that a 'Kanya' will be playing on the place where the 'Pindi' is buried & when you’ll dig that place you’ll find the ‘Pindi’. According to the guidelines, King ordered to his men to dig that place. The men obeyed the orders of 'King of Nahan' & found Sharda Mata in the shape of a ‘Pindi’. Then king built a temple as per the instructions given by the Goddess. This ‘Pindi’ is still present as such for the 'Darshan' in the temple for devotees.
Approximately fourty years back from now, people residing near the temple started getting blood strains on their cloths at night. Once again there was a feeling of terror among people. Late Faqir Chand (Mandir Pujari at that time) worshipped Goddess Shri Sharda Mata continuously. At night he had a dream in which 'Maha Kali' asked him to built a temple for her as well. From that very day with the contribution of all the devotees & villagers, Maa Maha Kali’s Murti was established on the right of Shri Sharda Mata Temple and a small temple was also built on it which was reconstructed by Shri Sharda Mata Mandir Charitable Society in 2006 as a very big temple and Maa Mahakali’s Murti had been established according to full rituals.
