Crushed Peanut Laddoo:
Peanuts crushed and cooked with jaggery and cardamom powder are rolled out into laddoos that are savoured on this occasion.
Peanuts are high in protein and many other nutrients. They are one of the most commonly used nuts across the world. These cornflakes peanut ladoos make a good and quick energy booster for all age groups.
Crunchy peanut balls that are healthy and delicious energy boosters
Ingredients:
- 1 cup peanut powder
- 1 cup grounded sugar
- Almonds (badam) as per requirement
- 1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
- 2 tbsp ghee
Method:
- In a large bowl, add 1 cup pounded peanut powder
- Add 1/2 cup grounded sugar
- TIP: The grounded sugar grains should be a bit coarse
- 1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
- Add almonds (badam) according to requirement
- Add 2 tbsp ghee
- TIP: Liquified ghee can also be used
- Mix everything well
- To make peanut powder: Roast the peanuts without any ghee or oil. Once they turn red in colour, remove the skins and add to the mixer, thus creating a peanut powder.
- TIP:Do not grind all the peanuts together at a high speed as it will release oil
- TIP: Adding coarse grains of sugar helps in making the consistency of the round balls (laddoos) better, thereby not hurting the throat when eating
- Once the mixture is uniform, start making the round balls
- Ready to serve
