7. East Coast Road

Also called as State Highway 49, this road connects Chennai with Cuddalore en route Pondicherry. It is a two lane highway and the total length of the road is 690 kms. A drive along this stretch is picturesque as it is built along the coast of Bay of Bengal. So, not only do you enjoy the peaceful ride but a glimpse outside your window of the calm sea soothes your body and soul. In addition to the view courtsey Bay of Bengal, you will encounter fishing villages, Hanuman Temple and rich vegetation at this stretch.

6. Marine Drive Puri

Yet another scenic drive is on the Marine Drive in Puri. Connecting Puri and Konark, this road is most famously known as the Konark Marine Drive. With temples along this road, your drive becomes an enjoyable and religious one.

5. Delhi-Noida DND Flyway

DND also known as Delhi Noida Direct is an eight lane flyway which travels a distance of 9.2 kms. It not only connects Delhi to Noida but also ensures a smooth drive for your SUV. There are occasional bikers rally that use this road to display their stunts, so you undoubtedly can cherish an easy drive here away from the hustle bustle of the capital.

4. Noida Greater Noida Expressway

Yet another popular road to drive in the outskirts of Delhi is the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. It connects Noida to Greater Noida and is a six laned road with a length of 24.53 kms. It was constructed to primarily relieve the congestion of NH-2. This road has many projects under development along it route such as real estate, educational institutes, restaurants etc. The expressway also leads to Yamuna Expressway which is discussed in the next point.

3. Yamuna Expressway

This expressway is a 165 km long road which connects Greater Noida to Agra/. This six laned road was the idea of the then Chief Minister, Mayawati and was inaugurated by Akhilesh Yadav in the year 2009. It is the path to one of the famous tourist destination, The TAJ Mahal. So though you might just be looking for a classy drive, you might want to drive a few more kms just to see the beauty of the Taj.

2. Marine Drive Mumbai

Though short in distance, Marine Drive of Mumbai, is most popular for its display of nature’s beauty. This 3 km long 6 laned road is one of the hottest destination for tourists and Mumbaites. It appears as a C shaped road and connects Nariman Point to Babulnath. Thought you might witness traffic during busy hours, but a drive at night or wee hours of morning can be cherished till eternity.

1. Palm Beach Road

The 10 km long, six laned road is yet another popular road of Mumbai. Connecting Vashi to Belapur, this road is an up MARKET commercial road used by local commuters. Though infamous for the many accidents that took place on this road, making it earn the name of ‘The Killer Road’, if within the desirable speed limit, the road is a beauty to drive on.
