Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Richa Chaddha and Mallika Sherawat are the few Bollywood actresses who got a chance to walk the red carpet at the prestigious Cannes Films Festival this year. We all know what a big deal Cannes is; there is no room for fashion faux pas. International media as well as the media over here in India are just waiting for you to make one slip up so that they can criticise your looks. That’s why every actress puts herself through a pain-stakingly long ordeal to look pretty and perfect. While, most of us don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, it was Sonam Kapoor who took over the L’Oreal Paris Hair handle on Snapchat to show us how she prepped for her walk at Cannes 2016.
After looking at her Snapchat, we got to know that Sonam’s prep started with a spa session, followed by a hair and make up session. Sonam goofed around as the foreign stylist set her hair using a variety of new techniques. She then got into her outfit and the stylists gave her the touch ups she required. She then made her way for an interview, post which she walked through the corridors of the venue bare feet and mind it, Sonam was feeling very hot. She then wore her fabulous high heels and walked down the stairs of the venue and posed for the press photographers. She then moved on to the red carpet where she stunned one and all in her regal white Ralph & Russo outfit.

Sonam Kapoor or what we like calling her better, Ms Fashionista Kapoor, has upped her style game at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and we are glad. Remember that time last year when she faced the harsh beams of criticism for her rather unusual Elie Saab feathery gown. Although it was supposed to put her in the map for the gown’s quirkiness but sadly it backfired terribly. Maybe that’s why this time, Sonam carefully made her choices to grab away all the attention. And boy did that work splendidly for her! From the futuristic sari to the elegant white gown she donned, all we could do was gasp over the sheer brilliance of it! Ms Kapoor did good.
But guess what, she has one more red carpet look to don before she breathes a sigh of relief. So just to prep us a bit on how she will enthral us yet again, Sonam wore this super cool Ralph and Russo dress paired with black Louboutins. Did she nail the look? With the hair tied in a bun and minimal makeup, she stole our hearts. The deep neck outfit really worked out well for the actress, who chose to wear this for a press interaction. We saw her ethnic avatar mesmerize us, we saw her regal white gown that seemed like an inspiration from Chinese fashionista, Fan Bingbing and now we just got a glimpse of her pretty Ralph Russo froufrou outfit which looks very outdoorsy.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has once again got our attention with this cover photo! The diva, who currently has a lot in her plate, chooses to enjoy that feeling of being busy as not only is she promoting her film, Sarbjit but is also attending Cannes and doing the same there as well. In fact, to make sure that amidst all this busy life she doesn’t miss out on Mommy time with daughter Aaradhya, she even took her along for Cannes. Although, on the red carpet, because of her slightly unconventional looks, she has been criticized by the fashion police, but clearly, that will not be stopping her from wearing what she thinks suits her.
While the flak was received tremendously by the diva, speculations of her being pregnant with a baby bump too started doing the rounds. Earlier, we had reported that buzz of her pregnancy had to be put to rest as she isn’t pregnant. But minutes after sharing that piece of information with you, we found this magazine cover of Filmfare that features Ash. Now it is quite obvious that she’s looking super dreamy in the Bambah Boutique dress but there’s something more that grasped our attention. It was the fact that she had her hand held with a view to cover her belly. This made us curious and hence we check all the previous covers of the diva from last year and we couldn’t find any covers that had her cover her belly before. Isn’t that something one does to hide their bump?
