There are some Home Remedies For Dysentery
Symptoms
The common symptoms of this are diarrhea with mucous and blood in the stool, unnaturally foul-smelling stools, the frequent painful urge for defecation, paid in the anal region, fatigue, thirst, drying up of the tongue and, occasionally, a slight fever
Method
Make a past of the rind of immature fruit of pomegranate.
Take some fresh, tender leaves of the pomegranate and grind them to a paste.
Dose
Take about 15-20 gm of either of these pastes, twice or thrice a day, on their own or mixed with water.
Prepare a paste of fresh curry leaves. Mix 10 gm of the paste in a cup of buttermilk and drink it twice or thrice a day.
Take 30 ml of ‘Kudajarishtam’ three times a day.
Prepare a paste of the root of satavari – Asparagus racemosus – and mix it in milk. Drink this mixture twice or thrice a day.
Boil half-a-cup of the cleansed root-bark of Holarrhena in 4 cups of water until it is reduced to one cup. Take half-a-cup of this decoction twice a day.
Dry the immature fruit of vilwam – Aegle marmelos – and grin it into a fine powder. Take 5 gms of this powder, mixed in honey, thrice a day.
Note: If blood and mucous continue to appear in the stools, even after any of the above remedies has been tried, seek expert advice.
