Someone else is monopolising your thoughts

Needless to say, if you are constantly thinking of this person in your life, you are already smitten. It could be someone you have just met, or friend who suddenly seems irresistibly charming. If you find yourself smiling every time you think of him, or make excuses to bump into or call him, it is a warning sign. Though infatuation is normal even while you are in a committed relationship, the problem arises when you find it hard to resist spending time with the person you are attracted to.

You start avoiding your boyfriend

Have you secretly started hoping that your boyfriend spends Saturday night with his chums, watching the game so you are free to step out for coffee with your friend? If you find yourself wanting to spend time with the friend rather than your partner—even lying to do that—it is a clear indication that your priorities have changed.

You are taking extra care of how you look

When you start putting too much emphasis on what you are wearing; when you feel like wearing that provocatively lacy underwear even when you don’t have plans to meet your partner; when your concern with your appearance is so intense that you are just hoping you'll run into HIM, it surely means that you are completely taken in by the infatuation.

Hiding your relationship status
